EU Pig Prices: Quotations Mostly Steady - No Market Distortions in Germany after ASF Outbreak among Domestic Pigs


The situation on the European pigs-mature-for-slaughter market is stabilising altogether, but in individual countries the markets are still under pressure. The majority of quotations remain unchanged, but in Spain and Denmark further price decreases must be accepted. Especially for the export-oriented nations, the poorly performing Chinese business is problematic at the moment. In addition, there are isolated improvements in out-of-home consumption, but the level remains comparatively low all in all.
