After a long lean period, the first rays of hope are finally rising on the European pigs-mature-for-slaughter market. Although the prices are still treading water in many EU member countries, the Italian price is continuing its upward trend unperturbed. Currently, an increase of 3 cents in Belgium catches the eye, and the Spanish quotation tends marginally upwards as well.
