On the European pigs-mature-for-slaughter market, quotations mostly stabilise at the existing level. In Spain, however, the prices dropped by another 3 cents. Against the background of the large EU-wide meat supply and the labour shortage in the meat industry, the European pigs-for-slaughter market is still under pressure. Yet, compared to the past weeks the situation is somewhat more relaxed. Last week, the EU Commission rejected subsidies for private storage of pork. Instead, the EU Commission is proposing national aid measures.
