The pressure on the European pigs-mature-for-slaughter market is decreasing, but the quotations continue treading water. Only France and Italy are exceptions with a slight to significant price increase. Many slaughterhouses in Europe are increasing the number of slaughters due to an accelerating Christmas business and due to forward-looking planning in production with regard to the forthcoming Christmas days. However, the current development of the Corona pandemic is causing uncertainty regarding the development of demand.
